HHGS Sneak Peek: Girlfriend Confidential: L.A.

Eva Marcille along with a few of her friends (enter Denyce Lawton, Nikki Chu and Kelly Dunn) are gearing up for the premiere of their new reality show titled "Girlfriend Confidential: L.A."


The new reality show will premiere on the Oxygen network on Monday, September 3rd (my birthday and Labor Day) at 11pm. I have a few promo pics as well as some video clips from the new reality show, but I have no idea what the show is actually going to be about. And if I may add, the show looks like its going to be a tad boring.

Pop Art! NARS' Andy Warhol Collection

Pop Art's most celebrated artist and a makeup maestro came together for some major fun with color. The NARS Andy Warhol Holiday Collection celebrates Warhol's work and the muses that inspired him, which in turn, continue to inspire NARS founder and creative director François Nars. "I've always surrounded myself with Andy's work and have paid tribute to him before. Even more than 20 years after his death, he continues to be one of the most influential figures in both contemporary art and pop culture," he told WWD. The collection is split into two parts, a Sephora exclusive that launches October 1, and a line for department stores available November 1. The Sephora collection pays homage to Warhol muse Debbie Harry through a Cheek and Eye Palette, and includes five glosses in soup-can containers emblazoned with Warhol's lip prints. The department store line varies slightly, capturing the spirit of Warhol's silver factory. The latter includes shadows, lipsticks, blush, and an Edie set — named after Warhol's famous ingenue Edie Sedgwick, of course. Adding to the collection's appeal as wearable art is the Fabien Baron-designed packaging, which perfectly embodies Warhol's spirit and flair.

I guess Bobbi Kristina wants the world to know that she is in love with Nick Gordon (her play brother). Not only did the two walk hand-in-hand at the Sparkle premiere in Los Angeles, but here they are online showing off their new tattoos while rolling around in the sack, playfully…very playfully. Like I said, as long as she’s happy; she’s grown now anyway!

Besides, Nick can’t be any worse than the last guy who sold those infamous pics to the National Enquirer. More pics of the cute couple when you continue…

OneRepublic “Feel Again” In New Single: Listen

Perhaps it’s the handclaps. Perhaps it’s the booming drums. Perhaps it’s Ryan Tedder‘s hopeful tone, or the way his voice builds, collapses and then surges again without ever sounding defeated. Regardless, OneRepublic‘s new single, out Aug. 27 on iTunes, reminds us a lot of Florence + The Machine‘s breakout single “Dog Days Are Over”. And that’s not a bad thing.

“Feel Again” is also the first single off OneRepublic’s still-untitled, forthcoming third LP, for which Tedder has high hopes. “We really feel that this could be our big break out [sic] album,” Tedder said to Arjan Writes - a strange sentiment, considering that OneRepublic’s first-ever single, 2007′s “Apologize,” went three times platinum. Is Androgynous Male Model Stav Strashko the Next Andrej Pejic?

Androgyny–of the Saskia de Brauw and Freja Beha variety–is a valued look in modeling (Just ask Tyra). Newer and more controversial? Bio boys who can play pretty girls. Of course everyone’s favorite fragile blonde, Andrej Pejic, has done tons to bring male-to-female androgyny into the mainstream, as has transgender model Lea T.

So it stands to reason that more models of this ilk will start popping up. Meet Ukrainian stunner Stav Strashko: Stav was thrust full-on into our consciousness this morning thanks to HuffPo, who dug up an amazing Toyota commercial that would never, ever air here in the US. In it, a luscious and topless blonde in a red bikini hangs out with a Toyota–until the big reveal at the end. Watch it. It’s truly amazing.

We started digging around a bit and it turns out that Stav is already an underground cult fave. Yep, he has the requisite “F*ck Yeah” Tumblr dedicated to him and has already been interviewed by Candy. We suspect the 20-year-old, who now lives in Israel, is destined for great things. We’ll be watching the runways carefully this fashion month.

A Dispatch From the America’s Next Top Model Premiere Party aka ‘The Night I Fell in Love with Tyra Banks’

Yep... that's me in bed with Tyra, Rob, and Kelly. Tyra loves me. See? SEE??

My life consists of exactly two time periods: B.T. and A.T. (Before and After Tyra).

B.T. was a pretty dark time for me. For twenty-five long, wasted years, I thought I didn’t love Tyra Banks. But things are different now: Enter A.T. Last night, I attended a preview screening of America’s Next Top Model‘s season premiere. I met Tyra. She posed for the cameras like she was standing on a rotating pedestal. She told me she liked my “very Brady Bunch in a cute way” dress. She smized at me. She smized at me. More on this later.

For its 19th ‘cycle,’ ANTM has undergone a well-documented makeover, recruiting a brand new cast of characters-Tyra and Kelly Cutrone are the only ones carrying over. Here’s a brief breakdown of all the changes happening this season, and the roles of the new peeps (or so I gathered between bouts of irregular breathing caused by my close proximity to Rob Evans):

The Best Dressed: Beyoncé in Alexander McQueen, Jessica Biel in Giambattista Valli, Plus More!

It’s been a long, hot summer, not that it’s been hard for some of fashion’s favorite females to keep cool. For the most recent edition of Mr. Blasberg’s Best-Dressed List, our editor at large Derek Blasberg’s weekly roundup of style, he found some of his favorite ladies looking chill despite the smoldering temperatures. Who were some of the hotties? Beyoncé topped his list, looking fresh and fabulous at an appearance at the United Nation. Ravishing in red were three lucky ladies, all in body-hugging crimson dresses: Kate Upton roaming the red carpet in Los Angeles; Eva Longoria leaving her restaurant, Besos, in L.A.; and Blake Lively on the Gossip Girl set. Shearling for men: how to wear it this winter

This season, one phrase that you should never utter goes as follows:

"I'm wearing Persian Lamb."

To utter it would be akin to saying "see my lovely shearling collar? It's made from the skin of newborn lambs." Lambs, in the plural. And by lambs I potentially mean unborn lambs. Or guaranteeably no older than 3 day old lambs. It won’t just be PETA that hates you for it – this is the sartorial equivalent of dressing in the hope of never getting laid again, or perhaps yourself being mulesed. Lambs are universally found to be cute and adorable, people fawn over them even if a lamb’s dawn bleets are amongst the most annoying sounds on Earth.

Shearling is back amongst men’s winter 2012 fashion, and Persian Lamb is amongst the trend’s elements. Wear shearling if you like, and after the break we’ll show you just how to do that, but if you venture into the realm of something that remotely resembles Persian Lamb refer to it just as “shearling”, your “nice wool collar” or pray for the opportunity to mutter “faux” under your breath.

Usher Reveals “Dive” Single Cover, Held In Contempt Of Court

Usher has revealed that he’ll release the emotional love ballad “Dive” as his next single off Looking 4 Myself, and we’re sure he hopes his fans’ focus will stay on his music instead of his increasingly dramatic personal life. The R&B star has been found in “willful contempt” for violating sections of he and ex-wife Tameka Foster‘s 2009 settlement agreement, reports E! News.

Foster claims that Usher violated terms that stipulated that ”neither party shall travel with the children outside the State of Georgia or the Continental United States without the express written consent of the other parent,” and that each parent “provide travel dates, arrival and departure times, addresses and land line telephone numbers where the child will be maintained.” Foster testified that she often did not know where her children were, and once discovered they were in Los Angeles when she saw them on a red carpet at a Hollywood event.

Foster also testified that Usher denied her information about their sons’ education, health and extracurricular activities; that he did not pay for their sons’ nannies as dictated in the settlement; and that he cut off access to her Saks Fifth Avenue card, which she uses for business purposes as a stylist.

Earlier this month, Foster claimed that her ex-husband was faking being affected about the death of her son (Usher’s step-son) Kile Glover in order to win sympathy from the court during their custody hearing.

50 shades of Thom Grey: Thom Browne’s diffusion line

Speaking of fashion and Fifty Shades of Grey, you can’t help but draw a mental association between the success of the book and Thom Browne’s new diffusion line, which goes by the name Thom Grey. Coincidence, or clever timing? WWD reported that the collection is up to half the price of Browne's main line, with American sportswear-inspired pieces designed to appeal to a younger crowd. Along with grey ties and striped rugby tops and varsity-style jackets, there’s also oxford shirts, casual outerwear and suiting.
