Androgyny–of the Saskia de Brauw and Freja Beha variety–is a valued look in modeling (Just ask Tyra). Newer and more controversial? Bio boys who can play pretty girls. Of course everyone’s favorite fragile blonde, Andrej Pejic, has done tons to bring male-to-female androgyny into the mainstream, as has transgender model Lea T.
So it stands to reason that more models of this ilk will start popping up. Meet Ukrainian stunner Stav Strashko: Stav was thrust full-on into our consciousness this morning thanks to HuffPo, who dug up an amazing Toyota commercial that would never, ever air here in the US. In it, a luscious and topless blonde in a red bikini hangs out with a Toyota–until the big reveal at the end. Watch it. It’s truly amazing.
We started digging around a bit and it turns out that Stav is already an underground cult fave. Yep, he has the requisite “F*ck Yeah” Tumblr dedicated to him and has already been interviewed by Candy. We suspect the 20-year-old, who now lives in Israel, is destined for great things. We’ll be watching the runways carefully this fashion month.
