Pop Art's most celebrated artist and a makeup maestro came together for some major fun with color. The NARS Andy Warhol Holiday Collection celebrates Warhol's work and the muses that inspired him, which in turn, continue to inspire NARS founder and creative director François Nars. "I've always surrounded myself with Andy's work and have paid tribute to him before. Even more than 20 years after his death, he continues to be one of the most influential figures in both contemporary art and pop culture," he told WWD. The collection is split into two parts, a Sephora exclusive that launches October 1, and a line for department stores available November 1. The Sephora collection pays homage to Warhol muse Debbie Harry through a Cheek and Eye Palette, and includes five glosses in soup-can containers emblazoned with Warhol's lip prints. The department store line varies slightly, capturing the spirit of Warhol's silver factory. The latter includes shadows, lipsticks, blush, and an Edie set — named after Warhol's famous ingenue Edie Sedgwick, of course. Adding to the collection's appeal as wearable art is the Fabien Baron-designed packaging, which perfectly embodies Warhol's spirit and flair.
