The asymmetry of this pleated, sheer, darkly haunting dress draws the eye – more so, even, than the wearer’s messy platinum blonde bob. All together the outfit proves that black can be far from boring when you’ve got a unique cut, and a statement hair colour to make an impact.

Those in the world of glamour know that there is nothing one can't do in order to depict an obscure and desirable world through the diverse forms of fashionable representation. The image of sophistication and refinement still falls as one of the most appealing and encapsulating appearances that we see today, and every now and then there is a stroke of fashion genius that comes into play and flips the appearance on its head, by adding dazzle and spunk a whole new sense of dressing and styling is brought to light.
And this is exactly what designers Anna Kania and Bonnie Wendler have done in their Glamorous Punk portrayal of apparel and how is it truly Not Dead in the eye of any beholder.
An amalgamation of soft and flowing materials with the sharp biting edges of metal and leather are present in this shoot by Jessica Prautzsch – which features Kania and Wendler’s designs – representing the true form of punk, spunk and rock and roll, but all woven and seamlessly put together in order to bring together two supposedly opposing genres of fashion and lifestyle. Hair and make-up, brought to life by Anna Bell, are subtle; big luscious lips and big innocent eyes that hold in them that classic form of female beauty, however the splashes of shady eye shadow, bright lipstick and dark nails maintain the theme of medieval punk flare.

English shoes, meet Italian denim.
That was the introduction that took place at the start of this little collaboration, a capsule collection between Roy Rogers Jeans and Trickers. Trickers is well known for being one of the best quality producers of hand-made shoes in Brittain, founded in 1829, while Roy Rogers holds the title of the first jeans manufacturer in Italy. Bringing these two long-standing, historical brands into partnership was not necessarily inevitable, but it was none the less a stroke of genius that we’ll get to see up close at the upcoming Pitti Uomo menwear tradeshow in Florence.

“Less is more” was an assertion by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, pioneer of modernism and Bauhaus design. Photographer Mark Sink might just agree, his latest shoot of model Taryn Andreatta definitely adhering to the philosophy as far as clothing is concerned.
Instead of being about clothes the shoot is a sensual portrait of model and Mies’ designs; Taryn posing across an iconic Barcelona chair, giving the shoot the ambiguous title of Taryn on Mies van der Rohe.
