Fashion is obsessed with contradiction, but sometimes it’s in the absence of it that styling stands out the most.

In Misty Dream by Joanna Kustra (joannakustra.com) the mood is unwavering: hair, makeup, styling, and photography direction all point to unambiguous girlish femininity: a ballerina necklace paired with pink tulle, doll-like smatterings of rouge on porcelain-perfect skin, and clown-like ruffled collars flowering beneath lashings of costume jewels.
