Jennifer Lawrence Proves That Lace and Menswear Can Coexist

Jennifer Lawrence has been making fashion headlines since she started getting her share of the limelight on red carpets in 2011, and she is making sure it stays that way. Jennifer was spotted in none other than Christian Dior, being a patron of the brand for a number of her red carpet moments in the past three years. The actress sported a pair of charcoal wool pants from its Resort 2014 collection, which is not available for the general public yet. The wide-legged pants has a guipure lace detail running down one leg, echoing the gorgeous guipure top, and transitioning into two tones of blue. The other pant leg is pleated at the waist, allowing it to flow more dramatically than its counterpart. The wider pant leg also seems to have a pocket, which all purse-carrying women would surely appreciate, as shown in the picture below:

Because of its uniqueness, the gorgeous pair of Christian Dior pants could not be matched by any alternative that we could get our hands on. However, we conjured up some wide-legged finds anyway to ease our thirst until the release of the highly coveted collection.

Quick, without thinking deeply, what 3 words would you use to describe Anne Hathaway's pants?

If your thoughts veered toward words like horrendous, ugly, and unflattering, you are definitely not a fan of Anne's pants. If you thought they are okay, nice, unique, then perhaps you think this look isn't too bad.

I think Anne has one of those body shapes that can wear pretty much anything and get away with it. She definitely has the physique and the long legs to make palazzo pants look flattering and chic.

Unfortunately, though, those are all wasted on this particular pair of palazzo. Separately, it isn't too bad. The army green hue is quite popular these days and would work great with edgy pieces. But the wrinkly fabric is just too off-putting for any fashion nazi's peace of mind.

Anne's styling is also a tad confusing. The chucks and stripey orange top are definitely not the pieces to wear with pants like this. She should have worn a sleeveless top to balance them out, and a pair of flat strappy sandals would have made the look more stylish.
