Christina Aguilera’s “Blank Page”: Listen To The Full Track

Christina Aguilera has treated us to the Lotus song “Blank Page” in its entirety! The eighth track from her forthcoming seventh album (out November 13) is a torch ballad that strips Aguilera of the EDM-influenced pop sounds apparent elsewhere in Lotus, as we discovered via 30-second snippets earlier this week.

Especially with chops like hers, “Blank Page” is the sort of bare-bones performance that this Voice coach pulls off with ease. Aguilera also reestablished this fact last night (November 2), when she performed Stripped highlight “Beautiful” for NBC’s Hurricane Sandy benefit concert. LL Cool J Redeems Himself On “Take It”: Listen

This summer, LL Cool J announced his return to hip-hop with “Ratchet” — his first new music since 2008′s Exit 13 and, to be honest, not what we expected. Peppered with easy-to-catch references to D’Angelo and Lady Gaga, the rap icon’s remorseful screed of gold-diggers (“Can I get some cash? A little money for gas?”) wasn’t as deserving of the title he’s lined up for his forthcoming album: Authentic Hip Hop.

But in his new song “Take It,” LL Cool J attempts to right his wrongs with lines like, “LL got the remedy, intervention divine / I gave you the gift, listen to me, it’s all by design.” He’s spitting of the pressure that comes with returning to hip-hop - he feels like an underdog now - but, as his rap story segues to a steamy hook-up in the hood, LL makes clear that he doesn’t dwell in self-pity for long. PSY To Bring “Gangnam Style” Swag To The Oxford Union

By this point in his brief but illustrious career, K-pop sensation PSY has graced some pretty major stages - but according to a new report, he’s set to embark on a new, even odder chapter than becoming a worldwide pop sensation. BBC News reports that PSY will be addressing the famed (and incredibly prestigious) debating society The Oxford Union on November 7, where he will be discussing “the hype and excitement surrounding the single’s ‘horse-riding’ dance craze.” A spokesman from the Union called it a great opportunity to hear from someone “topical and current.”

“We’re expecting the chamber to be full to capacity to hear what Psy [sic] has to say,” he elaborated. “It’s great for our members to be able to welcome someone who has had a huge impact on life in such a short space of time.” Sure, okay. Expect to see a lot of very confused-looking distinguished people on November 7 in Oxford.

The Killers premiered their video for Battle Born single “Miss Atomic Bomb,” featuring footage of the band on tour in the UK. Giorgio Testi shot much of the festival performance footage in slow-mo, giving it that added dramatic flair that fits with the band’s MO. We also get to see the gang doing behind-the-scenes band stuff like tweaking set lists, signing autographs and staring up at the sky tour bus ceiling. Also? SHIRTLESS BRANDON FLOWERS!

Christina Aguilera, Sting, Jon Bon Jovi & More To Perform At Hurricane Sandy Telethon

Hurricane Sandy was a once-in-a-lifetime storm that left the East Coast reeling, but victims of the disaster are about to get a little help from some famous friends: NBCUniversal has announced that its portfolio of networks (including NBC, Bravo, USA, E! and a host of others) will be running a telethon at 8 p.m. this Friday to raise money for those affected by Sandy. It will be broadcast live from NBC’s Rockefeller Center studios and also streamed live on NBC.com.

Confirmed to perform are Christina Aguilera, Sting, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel and Jon Bon Jovi, with non-singing TV personalities Brian Williams and Jimmy Fallon also slated to make appearances.

Willy Moon’s “Yeah Yeah” Video Earns That Extra “Yeah”

Meet Willy Moon. Actually, you may already know him from the new iPod commercial featuring his song “Yeah Yeah,” so it’s safe to say the guy’s about to blow up. His music (or, what we’ve heard so far, anyway) is a kinetic fusion of soulful rock vocals and hip-hop arrangements. ZZ Ward combines similar elements, but while her songs are gritty and intimate, Moon’s are bombastic and bursting at the seams, like if Girl Talk hired Alex Clare to sing over his sample collages.

The Alex Court s-directed video for “Yeah Yeah” is equally active, with a couple dozen black-clad dancers flanking Moon in his sky blue suit. The song is out now digitally, and is the title track to Willy’s EP, which drops December 4.
