Now, if you've never had a quilt jacket before, we can understand why; nobody wants to look like the Michelin man this fall!

Stay away from puffy styles, and look for something made with down feathers, which offer light but sufficient insulation. Next, make sure it is tailored to give you a nice feminine silhouette - not the silhouette of a Christmas tree. Some are meant to be oversized; look at how it fits you all the way around your body, and see if it's the right cut and size. Don't be afraid to go a size smaller or bigger!

We love quilted jackets because they give the usual "uniform" of jeans + t-shirt some color and oomph. They are lightweight compared with your wool coats and are easier to carry around with you all day.

Naya Rivera Steps Out in Michael Kors, Later Releases a Christmas Card with Big Sean

Seems like our beloved Naya Rivera, a.k.a Santana of Glee, is constantly being put under fire for completely letting her fianc Big Sean take over her life. The usually fierce, no-nonsense, ain't-got-time-for-feelings-snap-snap frenemy of Glee's Rachel (played by Lea Michele) has been obsessing over her beau in her social media accounts, even recording her debut single about how she snagged her man, dropping his exes names somewhere in there (we're pretty sure she'll eventually realize how cringeworthy that was). It doesn't end there, though - the ongoing gosh-darn-it-I'm-so-in-love saga has finally reached Kardashian levels: the two have just released their Christmas card.

Naya was last spotted at The Hollywood Reporter's Women In Entertainment Breakfast, which honored the great Oprah Winfrey, not surprisingly with her man in tow. The 26-year-old wore a gorgeous tweed peplum skirt by Michael Kors, which she paired with a Michael Kors long-sleeved black wool bodysuit with a sexy cutout back. Naya sported Casadei stiletto pumps and some Marina B jewelry.

With the peplum craze in overdrive for 2013, Michael Kors unleashed his genius by taking the flouncy silhouette and giving it more structure, and, may we add, in true Coco Chanel-businesswoman tweed fashion, at that. Another noteworthy feature are the tiny faux pocket flaps, that act like a second peplum layer.
