Chris Brown‘s sixth studio LP X dropped this week and it’s predicted to debut at number two on the Billboard 200 with an extremely healthy opening bow of 130,000+ copies. (The only thing standing between the 25-year-old and another number one album is Barbra Streisand‘s duets LP Partners, believe it or not). Not bad considering promo was interrupted by a stint in jail!

Not only does the album boast a batch of hits (“X”, “Loyal” and “New Flame”) and some high-profile collaborators (Usher, Kendrick Lamar and Jhene Aiko), it also has a pretty wicked booklet full of black-and-white Breezy pics. He incorporates crosses into each snap and shows off his impressive six-pack, which happily survived prison food intact.

Taylor Swift is across the pond today (November 6), as the country pop sentation has been entrusted with the important task of heading up the Christmas lighting ceremony in London. “Got to help switch on the lights at Westfield tonight in London and lots of people showed up and we played a few songs and I had fun. :),” the sultry songstress tweeted to fans. Still on her own personal “campaign trail” Tay promoted her new album by wearing a red dress, naturally.

Thankfully, Lady Gaga‘s stomach settled enough for her to attend her Fame perfume launch at Harrod’s in London on Sunday (October 7). Pop’s royal highness arrived in style: via a gold horse-drawn carriage. Unlike the revealing outfits Mother Monster has been working in Milan and France this past week, the ARTPOP singer opted for a simple black dress with gold ornate “claws” as she waved to the crowd. Upon exiting the department store, however, Gaga was seen wearing a giant gold headdress that made her look like a Renaissance painting come to life.

Gaga expressed her gratitude for her Little Monsters via Twitter following the fragrance event, saying, “Im overwhelmed by the thousands in London who came to@Harrods I only wish I could’ve taken pictures w each of u. Thanku so much for coming.”

Nicki Minaj Promotes Pink Friday Fragrance On ‘The View’ In Hot Pink — Of Course!

Today September 24) marked a major moment for Nicki Minaj as the Barbz continues “dominating every avenue” in her ever expanding empire: the official launch of her Pink Friday fragrance. The rapper announced her first stop of the day to promote her new perfume to fans via Twitter: “im up next on the view. and we’re giving away more vip packages for macy’s!!!!!!! go down there now! see ya soon!”. The newly named American Idol judge arrived in an eye-popping ensemble of blue and white leggings, a hot pink blazer and a matching pink police officer hat.

Nicki explained to host Joy Behar that she’s “more comfortable being kooky” and “less comfortable showing skin”. (We’re sure Joy was thinking, “I hear you, girl.”)

And just how has Idol been so far? Nicki says, “pretty good.” Of her fellow judges, the 29-year-old artist said, “I look up to all of them in my own way.” And while the Barbz had nothing but lovely things to say about Mariah Carey, she did call Randy Jackson “crazy”.

Minaj went on to share her excitement surrounding her Pink Friday scent. “As a little girl growing up in south side Jamaica, Queens, if anyone would have told me that I would have my own perfume one day and be able to inspire young black girls everywhere to go into Nordstrom’s or Macy’s to see their face staring back at them, I would have never believed it.”

Most surprising is that the ladies of The View didn’t bring up Nicki’s latest political verse in Lil Wayne‘s “Mercy” or her public support of President Obama.

 

Christina Aguilera Turns Heads At The 2012 ALMA Awards

“So honored to be here at the @AlmaAwards tonight with my wonderful latino fans!” Christina Aguilera tweeted while attending the 2012 ALMA Awards on Sunday night (September 16). The current reigning music show ratings queen arrived at the event wearing a curve-hugging, long sleeved, black gown with a slit up the side that showed just enough leg. The Voice coach completed the look with her two-toned hair pulled into an effortlessly elegant low ponytail.

The pop star was honored at the event for her humanitarian efforts, specifically the World Food Program which aims to “bring food assistance to more than 90 million people in 75 countries.” On the red carpet, Xtina discussed her new Max Martin-produced single “Your Body” and that she is “very, very excited” about her upcoming album Lotus, sharing that it felt really nice to be “back in her own skin as an artist coming off The Voice“.

The awards show will air on NBC on September 21 at 8pm. Will you be tuning in?

Things between Lady Gaga and boyfriend Taylor Kinney must really be getting serious. First Mother Monster debuted an anchor tattoo saying it was a “New Tat. Stamp of His Mermaid" and now she’s been spotted in a Ulyana Sergeenko wedding gown! Well, not exactly. Yes, Gaga was spotted wearing a strapless white bridal gown on Sunday night (Sept. 9), but she wasn’t going to the chapel, she was headed into London’s Arts Club for a post Paralympic Closing Ceremony’s party.

She may have been a red head for her cover of L’Officiel, but MTV VMAs nominee Katy Perry was rocking short, dark locks in Beverly Hills on Wednesday night (Sept. 5). The new face of Popchips attended designer J.Molinari’s Addicted Collection for Jason Of Beverly Hills dressed in a casual green and black-patterned dress, paired with black boots and a black leather jacket. We assume the pop star dressed down because she’s bringing out the big guns tonight for the Video Music Awards’ red carpet where she has a total of four nominations.

Lana Del Rey certainly wasn’t feeling shy when she posed for British GQ‘s Men Of The Year issue. The Born To Die songbird posed in a hotel room nude and in various states of undress for the special edition. (We are a bit concerned about her pose with merely a curtain covering her most private of parts. Lana, honey, you don’t know the last time that thing was washed!)

And just who was the mystery man that got to grope the sultry siren’s left breast? While receiving the magazine’s Woman Of The Year award in London earlier this week, Lana shared that the hand belonged to Paul, the creative director. Lucky guy.
