Remember when Lady Gaga and Cher recorded “The Greatest Thing” (it actually lived up to its title!) for the legendary diva’s Closer To The Truth LP but then it got ditched at the last minute because Mother Monster wasn’t happy with the fact that it sounded like the best song never to win Eurovision? Well, that mess is all in the past! The gay icons have made up and showed a lot of love for each other on Twitter yesterday (September 15).
It turns out someone sent Cher a copy of Lady Gaga’s jazz LP with Tony Bennett and she really liked what she heard. “SO F-ING PROUD OF U #GAGA HEARD (&SAW) AMAZING CD COLAB #CheekToCheek W/4 EVER HIP #TONYBENNETT BABE, UR CHANNELING JAZZ GREATS & KIL-N-ME,” the “Woman’s World” singer tweeted. (If you’re unfamiliar with Cher-speak that translates as “I enjoyed your album”). The ARTPOP pioneer was quick to return the love and even demanded her fans trend #MonstersLoveCher. See their cute exchange after the jump.
