The Killers’ “Miss Atomic Bomb” Video: Watch The Explosive Tour Footage

the killers miss atomic bomb

On Tour With The Killers

The Killers premiered their video for Battle Born single “Miss Atomic Bomb,” featuring footage of the band on tour in the UK. Giorgio Testi shot much of the festival performance footage in slow-mo, giving it that added dramatic flair that fits with the band’s MO. We also get to see the gang doing behind-the-scenes band stuff like tweaking set lists, signing autographs and staring up at the sky tour bus ceiling. Also? SHIRTLESS BRANDON FLOWERS!

Christina Aguilera, Sting, Jon Bon Jovi & More To Perform At Hurricane Sandy Telethon

Hurricane Sandy was a once-in-a-lifetime storm that left the East Coast reeling, but victims of the disaster are about to get a little help from some famous friends: NBCUniversal has announced that its portfolio of networks (including NBC, Bravo, USA, E! and a host of others) will be running a telethon at 8 p.m. this Friday to raise money for those affected by Sandy. It will be broadcast live from NBC’s Rockefeller Center studios and also streamed live on NBC.com.

Confirmed to perform are Christina Aguilera, Sting, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel and Jon Bon Jovi, with non-singing TV personalities Brian Williams and Jimmy Fallon also slated to make appearances.

Willy Moon’s “Yeah Yeah” Video Earns That Extra “Yeah”

Blue Moon

Meet Willy Moon. Actually, you may already know him from the new iPod commercial featuring his song “Yeah Yeah,” so it’s safe to say the guy’s about to blow up. His music (or, what we’ve heard so far, anyway) is a kinetic fusion of soulful rock vocals and hip-hop arrangements. ZZ Ward combines similar elements, but while her songs are gritty and intimate, Moon’s are bombastic and bursting at the seams, like if Girl Talk hired Alex Clare to sing over his sample collages.

The Alex Court s-directed video for “Yeah Yeah” is equally active, with a couple dozen black-clad dancers flanking Moon in his sky blue suit. The song is out now digitally, and is the title track to Willy’s EP, which drops December 4.

Baby’s got the blues: Friend Of Mine

Posted in Fashion / Fashion advertising / Fashion blog / Fashion pictures

The image of old Las Vegas isn’t quite the same thing as the Vegas of the modern day. Old Vegas is Sinatra, retro neon signage, girls in cowboy boots having their cigarettes lit by handsome strangers, or blowing luck onto some gentleman’s dice. Forget the modern day Vegas strip with its poker machines and luxury shopping malls: it’s in that magic haze of Old Vegas nostalgia that Friend Of Mine’s Baby Blues campaign is set.

Unlike most fashion campaigns, this one isn’t collection specific. Instead it uses a mix of Friend of Mine staples and pieces from spring's Newton-inspired Ladies don't lean on lampposts and summer's Guns for Hire collections.

Settling it like men: Rich gets in the ring for spring

Posted in Fashion / Fashion advertising / Fashion blog / Fashion pictures

Rich is a Brazilian menswear brand whose philosophy gets to the heart of men’s style: a successful man, says the brand, is one who makes good choices, likes to be remembered for his good taste, has decision-making power and dresses with conviction.

There’s an inherent contrast in the brand’s latest campaign: impeccable clothing and handsome faces in a ring with the gritty sport of boxing. But it does’t feel out of place. It’s like a nod to an era when brutish masculinity and the notion of the gentleman were, in some ways, one and the same.
