Copy Leslie Mann’s Comfortable but Stylish Shopping Day Look

Leslie Mann's modest shopping day outfit is proof that you need not expose an indecent amount of skin to look younger. The 42-year old actress' ensemble is becoming on her, giving her a fresh and clean vibe that belies her age.

Kate Upton and Leslie Mann, stars of the upcoming film 'The Other Woman' shopping together at Colette boutique in Paris on April 5, 2014

Accompanied by her The Other Woman co-star, Kate Upton, Leslie was out about in Paris a few days ago wearing a black and white accordion-pleated skirt. The skirt looks so feminine with its tea-length structure, micro pleats and black and white color combination.

Let's just say that the romantic air of Paris got to her because she teamed this up with a sweet-looking bow blouse, a cropped cardigan and a pair of scalloped flats.

So ladies, the next time you go out shopping, try Leslie Mann's look. Here are some coordinates to try:

Trend Alert: Unapologetically Sheer Lace Skirts

The lace trend is at its strongest in the recent years, and it looks like it's not waning anytime soon with yet another fashion must-have making its rounds. This time, the oh-so-chic community of fashion bloggers are going short with their skirt linings and going long on the sheer lace skirt trend. Mostly making use of guipure lace (or lace without the mesh), the trend has found yet another way to strengthen its hold in the fashionista circles. Here are five looks we pulled:

1. Sporty Chic

Lena of Lena Panda

Lena of Lena Panda

With the racerback silhouette making a huge comeback with the lingering Isabel Marant sporty fashion craze, it is no surprise that some bloggers would think of mashing up the trend with the romantic lace. Pull out a stark white outfit with a lace skirt, cropped racerback top and a blazer (in case it's still chilly). Finish the look with nude, white and gold accessories to maintain the crispness of the outfit.

2. Casual Stud

Nastassja of Panna Amore e Caf

Nastassja of Panna Amore e Caff

We love this casual outfit because it can take you from the office to a dinner out with friends. This outfit is comfortable yet still pulled together enough to work in, and is absolutely brimming with chicness - enough to meet your night life's standards. Give your casual ribbed sweater that extra oomph with a sheer lace skirt and studded pointed toe shoes. Polish the look off with earthy accessories.

3. Crop Top Vixen

Rose of Dadouchic

Rose of Dadouchic

We love the dramatic flair accompanying the black crop-top-and-lace-combo in this look (see huge furry coat above and the over-the-top accessories below). Go casual with a simple black top or a bit more sophisticated with a lace one. Play around with chunky, attention-calling gold accessories to create this perfect vixen look.

4. Spring Fling

Frances of Frances Cassandra

Frances of Frances Cassandra

This may not be lace (it's organza, to be precise) but it made our list anyway because pretty much follows the shorter lining skirt trend. More importantly, how cute is that floral print? Pair the skirt with a white cropped top, oversized braided hat, and some earth-tone accessories, and you're ready to go head-to-head with spring's prettiest blooms.

5. The Artist

Kefilwe of Kefi Vogue Styles

Kefilwe of Kefi Vogue Styles

We love how absolutely creative this look is - it not only played with the print-on-print trend but it also experimented with combining various textures. The look went absolutely nuts that it actually made sense, which we absolutely adore. Wear the lace skirt with a printed sweater and, most importantly, go all out crazypants on the accessories. The funkier, the more pulled together your outfit will be.

Cup of Jo's Guide to New York City

Yahoo! My sweets, I'm thrilled to be sharing a little guide to New York City this week. I'll be sharing our favorite places to sleep, eat and play--as well as the best lobster roll ever, a (very) romantic date idea, the attractions that are worth battling the crowds and how to not look like a tourist (since my mom always asks!).

You could write a book on New York City (and people have:), so instead of featuring an overarching round-up, this guide will feature Alex and my regular hang-outs, personal favorites and New York discoveries. I'd LOVE to hear your recommendations in the comments, as well. The guide will be posted in separate parts all week, and I really hope you enjoy it. xoxo Update: Read the complete guide here.

How rad are these minimalist posters of classic children's stories? The Princess and the Pea is my favorite. And did you spot the wolf's paw in Red Riding Hood? Eeks!

okay question!

Is there a way to make a long wig even longer?

Clipping on extensions would be the only way

I could just clip them to the bottom? I’m trying to make a Rapunzel wig as long as possible.

Hello! For extensions (even for your own hair), they’ll be clipped onto the scalp (wouldn’t that sound weird to someone whose never worn extensions?). It’s not literally onto the scalp of course. For your own hair, you’d want it clipped as close as possible to your roots. For a wig, you can be a bit more lenient by clipping long extensions farther from the scalp in order to “extend” the length. The issue with clipping extensions farther from the base, such as randomly in the middle of your hair, is that the clips have very little to hold onto, and will slip!

Another issue with using extensions to make a long wig even longer (Repunzel status long) is that extensions of these lengths are rare! Personally, I’ve never seen ‘em go that long on places like eBay. How long is your current wig?

I’m no wig DIY-er so this is as much advice I can give you for newbies on wig extensions ^^;
